Referring back to the 12 points above, the NTA targets require each of your service providers to have and use DANOS-based job descriptions, recruitment and induction procedures, and review and appraisal procedures. Services also need to use personal development plans, learning opportunities, effective supervision and so on.

In our experience, making sure that service providers have and use effective systems and procedures to support all this is a major challenge.

MAPS works through a steering group representing each service provider to put in place, audit and quality assure all key systems and procedures needed for compliance.

We stagger the review and implementation of each procedure within individual service providers over a 12-month project period.

This disciplined approach embeds these vital processes and produces evidence that demonstrates not only that procedures are in place but also that they are being used systematically.
